Flesherton and district is known for its excellent cross-country and downhill skiing, canoeing, biking and fishing. The Bruce Trail, Kolapore Uplands, Saugeen River, Eugenia Falls and the Beaver Valley are natural local features. Flesherton and area has fine art galleries, studios, antique stores, unique eateries and interesting historic architecture.
Our Day Tripper correspondent is Peter Wayne late of Flesherton. Peter was a well-travelled fellow and a big fan of Flesherton. He lived in the Village and then in the nearby countryside for many years and his reviews and recollections of where to hike, walk, bike and swim are personal, endearing and sometimes, just a little, unusual. We miss him still.
