Projects
The Flesherton & District Chamber of Commerce is actively involved in a number of our own on-going projects in addition to the support we supply to other organization’s activities, such as Gold Rush Days and the Flesherton Farmers’ Market.
Each year the Chamber is responsible for staffing and operating a Tourism Information Centre in the Village of Flesherton. The Centre is open from late May until Thanksgiving Weekend.
We are responsible for the Banners & Wreaths program. This program provides attractive and durable outdoor banners showcasing the activities in our region throughout the village of Flesherton. In the winter months, these banners are replaced with illuminated wreaths that are maintained by the Flesherton chamber and installed courtesy of Hydro One.
Arts in the Area, The Walking Village Initiative and the Community Awards are all Chamber projects and have their own pages on this website.
The Flesherton Website itself is also a Chamber project.
This new Flesherton website is non-commercial, we do not solicit advertising and our links are to non-profit, government and volunteer organizations. We do not link to religious or political groups.
We do list business events in the calendar including openings, information evenings, or anniversaries, when they offer an event to the public, without a purchase being required.
And, we do report on business news as it impacts this community. We do this in accordance with our website Editorial Policy, which in part states:

Coming Soon to this website! – The Flesherton & District Chamber of Commerce in partnership with both the Markdale Chamber and the Municipality of Grey Highlands is producing an online Grey Highlands Business Directory that will be available from each of the organizations’ websites. This “shared resource” approach is an example of this Chamber’s desire to work with partners to achieve common goals, reduce redundancy and create best value from our available resources.
